If you want a better life than what you are currently experiencing, then check out this video. Hello, I’m Dr. Laird, LPC, and today, I’ll be discussing goals and goal setting.
Most self-made millionaires are goal-oriented. They set goals and create plans to achieve them. I consider myself a successful individual and can attest that goal setting and planning have put me in a position to become one of the God-made millionaires.
Having goals is essential to success because they provide direction and purpose in life. When you set goals, you identify what you want to achieve and what you need to do to achieve it. It gives you a sense of direction, helps you see the bigger picture, and is the first step toward creating a more meaningful life. Goal setting gives you a sense of control over your future. When you set goals, you put yourself in the driver’s seat of your life. 🚗💡
Think about this! If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there. 🛤️
What is goal setting?
Goal-setting is the process of recognizing what you want to accomplish and creating measurable and specific steps or a plan of action to achieve it. A goal or objective is an idea of the desired result that a person envisions, plans, and commits to achieve.
How to CREATE YOUR goals?
1. Start by Imagining your future: Dream big but be realistic. Write down on paper what you want your life to look like: what you want to earn, how many hours you want to work, what type of job you want to have, where you want to live, what kind of house and car you want. 📜✍️
2. Write it Down: This makes your goals more tangible and real. 📝
3. Create SMART Goals: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
4. Make Your Goals Visible: Put them somewhere you’ll see them regularly to keep them at the forefront of your mind. 📅🖼️
5. Prioritize Your Goals: Place your goals in order of importance. 🥇
6. Develop a Plan: Write down all the steps needed to achieve your goals. 🛠️
7. Take Action: Your goals aren’t going to achieve themselves. Get proactive. 🚀
8. Identify Potential Obstacles: All roads to success will have barriers. Overcome them! 💪
9. Find Support: Share your goals with positive and supportive people. 🗣️🤝
